It will be the internationally recognized skillfulness of the cellist Zhao Jing, young lady of elegant talent, to grant new emotions to the international music festival “On the Route of Prosecco” in a setting that is among the most beautiful and evocative of the land of Prosecco: The Abbey of Follina, ancient basilica among the best examples of Cistercian

Gothic in Veneto (front), a treasure trove of paintings and sacred elements of exquisite beauty, will host the Chinese soloist Jing Zhao, who will perform at the highest levels on the notes of the Concert for cello and orchestra # 1 in G major by Franz Joseph Haydn.

Zhao started playing cello at the age of five years and she is considered a cellist of deep musicality and fine virtuosity. The now 36-year old artist was awarded the first prize at the renowned ARD international competition of Munich.

This concert, in the fourth of the five evenings of the prestigious international music festival “On the route of Prosecco”, will see the extraordinary participation of the acclaimed Russian tenor Sergey Romanovsky.

Musician of innate talent that has found great success in the last particularly significant performances of this year at the Wigmor Hall in London with a program focused on S. Rachmaninov and in Salzburg, in the eponymous part of “La clemanza di Tito” by W.A. Mozart .

The artistic director Yuri Bashmet will close the concert as a soloist, performing a piece that was particularly acclaimed during the last concert of the first edition of the event: Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence.
