Sunday, August 31st 2014 – 9.00 p.m.
Conegliano – Convent of Saint Francis

It will be the actress of exceptional intensity and charm, Ksenia Rappoport, known in the international world of cinema and theater, the extraordinary host of the conclusion of the international music festival “On the Route of Prosecco”, Sunday, August 31st, at the Convent of Saint Francis, in Conegliano (Treviso), at 9.00 p.m..

In the picturesque setting of this square of almost unreal beauty, nestled among the hills of Prosecco and the medieval historic center, the Russian actress will lend her unmistakable stamp to the narrator of the Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. With the arrival of this star, on the last of its 5 nights, the prestigious festival directed by Yuri Bashmet and curated by Alessio Pianca and Dimitri Grinchenko also gives a little touch of glamour.

Debuted in Italy with Giuseppe Tornatore in “The Unknown,” a role for which she won the David of Donatello for Best Main Actress, the 40-year old actress is particularly linked to the Venice International Film Festival, of which she was testimonial, and that granted her the Coppa Volpi as Best Actress for “The Double Hour” by Giuseppe Capotondi.

Rappoport will be performing in a musical theatrical blend of the highest standards, with the resident orchestra “I Solisti di Mosca” and with two international young talents at the piano, the Russian Ivan Rudin and the Italian Irene Veneziano.

In the same rich evening, the young Rudin will also perform as a soloist, accompanied by “I Solisti di Mosca” conducted by Yuri Bashmet, in a concerto for piano and orchestra by J.S. Bach (G minor BWV 1058).

The participation as soloists of Bashmet – whose presence as a soloist in the 5 concerts of the festival shows, by itself, the uniqueness of the festival of Conegliano – and of the horn player Radovan Vladkovich further enhances this unmissable final event.
Regarded as one of the most exceptional soloists of this difficult and not well-known instrument, Vladkovich has performed as a soloist with the Radio Symphony Orchestra of Berlin, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio, the BBC Symphony Orchestra of London, the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields, the Camerata Academica des Mozarteums, and in Japan with the Yomiuri Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra and the NHK Symphony Orchestra among others.
