ORSINI

ANTONIO ORSINI was born in Rome where very young he began his music education, especially as a pianist and as a singer.

He has performed with a number of prestigious national and international ensembles, Coro Città di Roma, Coro Giovanile Italiano, Modus Ensemble, Ensemble La Cantoria, Aletheia Consort, UT Ensemble, ensemble Bradamante. He studied with Sara Mingardo and Furio Zanasi at the Conservatorio di Roma Santa Cecilia.

He sang with renown orchestras: Roma Sinfonietta, l’Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, l’Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino, Jerusalem Baroque orchestra, directed by Meastros such as E. Morricone, M. Marchetti, L. Donati, D. Tabbia, A. Quarta, N. Samale, M. Gasbarro, A. Parrot, S. Gaudenz, B. Chilcott, B. Holten, P. Crabb, J. Busto. Specialising in the baroque repertoire, Antonio attended important masterclasses and collaborated with V. Aguettant, O. Schneebeli, B. Boterf, D. Shemer, C. Ansermet.

He was invited to sing at the Chapelle Royale in Versailles, at the Centre de Musique Baroque, in Torino at MiTo festival, in Modena during the festival Grandezze e Meraviglie, in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv for JBO’s artistic season, in Rome for Roma Festival Barocco.

Winner of a number of European competitions such as International Competition Guido D’Arezzo (2009), Competition G. Dimitrov, Varna (2010 and 2015), FlorilegeVocal, Tours (2014).

His debut performance at the opera was in the role of Giambarone (Don Trastullo by N. Jommelli) and for the last few years he has been regularly collaborating with A. De Carlo and the Conservatorio Casella of L’Aquila for the A. Stradella project, where he performed the role of Teofilo (S. Giovanni Crisostomo), Nonno (S. Pelagia) and Celindo (Doriclea). As soloist he participated to many recordings by CNI, Tactus, Brilliant and Toccata Classics
