Claudio Zancopé – Bass


CLAUDIO ZANCOPE’ . After receiving his Diploma in Singing at the Conservatory “Cesare Pollini” of Padua under the guidance of Adriana Rognoni, he continued specializing his vocal techniques with Enza Ferrari and with the Base Malcom King with whom he especially worked on lieder reciting technique. Under the guidance of Mr Paolo Vaglieri he specialized his opera repertoire.

Winner of the 1985 international opera competition “AS.LI.CO.” of Milan and of the International Competition “Riccardo Stracciari” of Bologna, he made his debut in Don Giovanni by Mozart, under the artistic direction of Leila Gencer and then in Le Nozze di Figaro under the direction of Graziella Sciutti.

He has performed in various Italian Opera Theatres such as the Donizetti in Bergamo, the Teatro Grande in Brescia, the Comunale in Treviso, the Sociale in Rovigo, La Fenice in Venice and took part in performing for various Musical Institutions such as Asolo Musica, the Stagione Armonica , Concentus Vocalis, the Pomeriggi musicali in Milan, the Belluno Chamber Orchestra, and last but not least the Ensemble Arcimboldo in Milan.

So far Claudio Zancopè has sung alongside first cast singers in various opera productions at Teatro La Fenice in Italy and other theatres abroad.

Mr Zancopè’s recent concert tour in Germany has owed him remarkable success. His repertoire goes from 17th century Melodrama to contemporary music, both in the Opera field as well as lieder recitalist.

Mr Zancopè performed the role of the King in the recording and in various theatrical performances of the opera “Il Re alla caccia” by Baldassarre Galuppi. (Dymamic, DVD)

He accomplished, in world premiere, in taking part in the recording of “Lo spazzacamino,” a comic opera in one act, by Marcos Antonio Portugal da Fonseca.
