Irene Veneziano - Pianoforte

Irene Veneziano was born in Italy in 1985.
A student of M. Neri, she graduated from the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato G. Puccini in Gallarate in 2005 with top marks and special mention. In 2008 she passed the Level II Academic Diploma for piano at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan with top marks and special mention. In the same year, she obtained the specialist piano Diploma held by M° S. Perticaroli at the S. Cecilia Academy in Rome with top marks; she was also awarded the “G. Sinopoli” Scholarship for the best degree student from the Academy, receiving the award from G. Napolitano, the President of the Italian Republic. She also obtained the Diploma of Chamber music with special mention at the International Piano Academy in Imola. In 2009 she passed the diploma of “Didattica della musica” at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan.
She was awarded in about 30 national and internationals piano competitions, often receiving special prizes and mentions. She was semifinalist in the prestigious 16th “International Piano Competition F. Chopin” in Warsaw 2010. Winner of the Prix Jean Clostre-Prix du Jury at the Les jeudis du piano competition in Geneva, she recently also won the 2nd Prize at the B&B International Piano Competition in New York, the 1st Prize at the “Premio delle Arti” , the “A. Casella” prize at Premio Venezia piano competition and the “Grand Prix” at Tim competition.
Irene Veneziano was featured on “The Pianist” broadcast of Radio Classica and has also performed live twice on Radio Suisse Romande in Geneva for the “Espace 2” station. Her interviews appeared in Tvs (TeleEtere, AzzurraTv), Radios (PuntoRadio, MWRadio, Bluradio, RSI) and magazines (LombardiaOggi, Il Giornale della Musica, ViviLombardia, Suonare News, Nuove Dissonanze).
She has taken part in master classes held by A. Maffei, E. Fadini (harpsichord and fortepiano), F. Scala, M. Vidlund, M. Roscoe, K. Bogino, D. Merlet, S. Perticaroli (also at the Mozarteum in Salzburg) and J. Achucarro. She played in Italy and abroad for important festivals (Festival des Serres d’Auteuil and Animato Festival in Salle Cortot in Paris, 5th Eilat Chamber Music Festival in Israel, Menuhin Festival de Gstaad, Festival Piano à Saint-Ursanne, Société des Arts in Genève, Società dei Concerti in Milano, MITO Settembre Musica, Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, Los Angeles Italia Festival, and festivals in Singapore, Seoul, Hanoi, Podgorica, Tirana, Warsaw, Tunisi, Amman, Trelleborg, New Haven, Ottawa..).
In January 2011 she had her debut at the Scala Theatre in Milan in a chamber music concert together with some of the leading players of the theatre’s orchestra, having great success from public and critics.
Irene Veneziano performs regularly with the famous flautists Andrea Griminelli, Andrea Oliva (1st flute Orchestra “S. Cecilia” in Rome) in Italy and abroad, with the first bassoon of the Teatro Alla Scala Valentino Zucchiatti and with the violinist of the Teatro Alla Scala Daniele Pascoletti. As piano accompanist she works in flute master classes of well-known flutists such as M. Valentini, S. Kudo, A. Blau, G. Cambursano, D. Formisano, J. C. Gérard, A. Oliva, B. Cavallo, G. Gallotta and W. Bennett.
She was piano teacher in the Internationl Music Masterclasses in Cutigliano 2011 and she was called to part of the jury in the “Insieme per suonare, cantare danzare” competition in Omegna 2011.
