Kuzma Bodrov – Composer

Kuzma Bodrov was born in Osh (Kyrgyzstan) in 1980. In 2005 graduated Moscow Conservatory, in 2008 – postgraduate studies the Moscow Conservatory in class of composition, Professor A.V. Tchaikovsky. He teaches at the Moscow Conservatory, polyphony, musical form, harmony, instrumentation and reading scores. Currently an assistant of A.V. Tchaikovsky, organizer and co-chairman of Club of the young composers of Moscow Conservatory, a member of Laboratory of director and artist Dmitry Krymov. He is a professor of the Higher Courses of script writers and directors in Moscow. Since 2012 guest professor at Katarina Gursky Higher School of Music in Madrid.

Pythian Games competition (St. Petersburg, 2006, First Prize and Special Prize by the Orchestra for the Sinfonietta),
A. Petrov competition (St. Petersburg, 2008, third (III) prize); Mayakovsky competition (Moscow, 2012, First Prize for String Quartet);
Prokofiev competition (St. Petersburg, 2012, First Prize for Concerto-symphony for violin and the orchestra).
The winner of D.D. Shostakovich Prize presented by Moscow Conservatory.
Musical director of “Tales of the Old Piano” educational animated films, received the award in 2013 from Russian Government.
Kuzma took part in “Youth Russian Academy” festival (2002, 2003), “of Opus One” (Russia, 2003), Beethoven Festival in Bonn (special order Deutsche Welle at “Caprice” for violin and the orchestra, 2008), Musik an der Eth (Switzerland, 2008), «Aspekte Salzburg 2010″ (invited by S. Gubaidulina).
He constantly collaborates with artist Dmitry Krymov (opera “H.M. Mixed Media”, premiered in October 2011 at Small Stage of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko theater,. The act “As You Like It” premiered in October 2012 at the theater of “School of dramatic art” and other performances).
